Struggling to decide a local wedding or a destination wedding for your big day ?Here are some pros & cons of local weddings and destination weddings to help you to choose the one that’s right for you.

-Price
Some of couples choose a destination wedding because of its price. Typically, the cost of a destination wedding is approximately 10% cheaper than that of a local wedding.   A luxurious wedding in the romantic place with cheaper price? Why should not everyone take destination weddings? Don’t forget that it can be nightmare for the people who pay for their air tickets and accommodation fee by themselves to attend your ceremony. It might be cheaper for you, but not for the others who come over to celebrate your day.

-Honeymoon
You don’t need to rush packing and into the airplane for your honeymoon the very next day of your wedding ceremony in your hometown.  Honeymoon resort where you have dreamed is already here. You can combine your wedding ceremony and honeymoon together. (Two births with one stone !) However, you will have your family and friends near you during your romantic honeymoon. Where is the privacy ?

-Vendors.Photos.Make-up and Hair
Basically, a local wedding requires for a couple to take a year (or more) for preparing. You need to choose a right vendor, photographers, make-up&hair artists and then…….your head is getting like a mess ? If you feel that it takes too much time and there are too many things to do, a destination wedding can help you with a complete package. It takes much less time than planning a local wedding from start to end. All you need to do is showing up at the place ! However, what if the reality you find after you arrived at the destination is far away from your expectation ? How can you know if you will like photos or make-up&hair or not before you meet photographers or makeup-artists ? Taking a long time and advocating to your own wedding can avoid these future complains and make your wedding come into your own.

-People
Usually most of destination weddings are not so much big. It means you can invite really close family and friends to make your wedding homey without any feelings of forced to invite someone who you actually don’t want to. However what if someone who you invited and really wants to celebrate your wedding with you can’t came over to the place just because of the money or time problem? It is such hurt feeling. On the other hand, having a local wedding can be a great opportunity to get your family, friends, colleagues, teachers and neighbors together to have fun. Big wedding party may make your big day more special for you and your surroundings.
